Bio:
Jennifer Spence
Jennifer Spence was born and raised in Toronto. Ironically, she was sold on the life of a thespian at a very young age during a summer camp rendition of It’s a Hard Knock Life! As she grew older, she kept trying to talk herself out of pursuing the acting ‘thang’ but something in her heart spoke loudly and told her to stick with it. Upon graduation from high school, she studied in the acting program at The National Theatre School of Canada in Montreal and then spent some time traveling overseas. In the new millennium, Jen settled in her much-loved adopted city of Vancouver where she began her career in film and television. Select credits include a supporting role in Lifetime’s A Decent Proposal, a guest-starring role opposite Hank Azaria in Showtime’s award-winning Huff, a guest-starring role in CBC’s Northern Town (where she was required to run through the snowy streets of Dawson City, Yukon in a bikini) and comforting Jennifer Garner in the recently released feature film, Catch and Release. Watch for her in the new season of the Emmy-nominated The 4400 as the recurring character of Joanna.
