Remembering Crawford Hawkins

This week, we are remembering Crawford Hawkins, a devoted and much-loved contributor to the BC film and television sectors, who passed away on June 25th.

Crawford spent the better part of four decades in the Canadian film and television industry with an emphasis on film in British Columbia. He was best known as the Executive Director of the Directors Guild of BC and as a founder and longtime board member of the Motion Picture Production Industry Association of BC.

Crawford displayed critical influence in the areas of industry policies and relationships that greatly helped to make the BC film industry the supportive and forward-thinking community that it is now.

As a testament to Crawford’s lasting contributions, there will be scholarships set up in the near future.
