Film Details
While spending the summer in cottage country on the shores of Lake Superior, three teens cope with boredom by testing the limits of their experience.
Sleeping Giant is the debut feature of Canadian director Andrew Cividino and stars Jackson Martin, Nick Serino and Reece Moffett. The film premiered at Critics Week in Cannes in 2015, going on to screen at over 40 film festivals around the world. It was selected as one Canada’s Top Ten films of 2015, and took home the Best Canadian First Feature Award at TIFF and the Best Canadian Feature Award at VIFF. The film was nominated for four Canadian Screen Awards in 2016, taking home the prize for Best Actor in a Supporting Role (Nick Serino).
